Well, John signed the contract yesterday and wrote out a check. We've begun demolition of the firepit and the patio concrete. John rented a jackhammer and my dad is coming over to help him. Fortunately, the kids are out of school, so they can help too. The constructors think they can begin excavation of the new foundation next Monday, and they estimate just 90 days for full project completion. This mean, we should have our new, big family room by the end of July!
Santa will finally have a fireplace to drop into on this year!
