Hello? Can anyone tell me where September went? Today is the 25th, and my last post was on the 6th, so what happened to those nineteen days? So strange...is everyone else's life like that?
John has booked a cruise for my 40th birthday (we'll be gone the last week of November). I have been looking for some comfy but pretty new clothes to wear. I recently found a seller on eBay who sells these beautiful Salwar Kameez outfits straight from India - - the traditional 3-piece outfits that you often see Indian women wearing; a long, beautifully embroidered tunic, with flowy pajama pants and a long scarf that you drape this way or that. I have always admired them, and they come in such beautiful colors. So, what I want to know is: Is it appropriate to wear as fashion someone else's cultural apparel? John says yes, as long as I don't dot my forehead (since that is a religious symbol, not a fashion statement). What do you think?
These are the kinds of things I think about.
