Holy crap, it has been a very long time since I've blogged! The original intention of the blog was to keep up with family and friends that were distant (geographically and otherwise). Also, I've never been the kind of gal who likes to chitchat over the telephone and explain the nuances of our everyday life over and over...so the blog made sense. Except, the people who were supposed to be reading it, you know, grandparents and such, never made the effort to check it. They would say "let me know when you update it!" which defeated my purpose. Still, people are people, so I'm not sure why I thought it would be any different. Either way, Facebook filled the intended niche quite well, and I am very active on FB, but now I'm at a point where I would like to be a little more open, a little more honest, a little more vulnerable with my writings, and FB is not going to work for me. I will still be active and update, but I think the nitty-gritty thoughts that I need to get out into words will find a home here. I did love this blog.
Now I have to figure out how to update the blog description, as it is no longer "the adventures of John & Lisa." More on that to come...
